The DGE also reported impressive figures for internet gaming and sports wagering in the state. In December 2023, online gaming reported by casinos and their partners surged to $180.3 million, indicating a substantial 19.1% growth compared to November’s $151.5 million.

The momentum in online gaming continued throughout the year, with total internet gaming numbers for 2023 reported at $1.9 billion, reflecting an increase of 15.7% growth compared to the $1.66 billion reported in 2022.

In the realm of sports wagering, December 2023 saw revenue reach $109.4 million, marking an impressive 24.8% increase from the $87.7 million reported for the same period in the previous year.
