As early as spring of next year, players in Greece will have access to Exoplay’s products and services. The Hellenic Gaming Commission has granted Exoplay a Type 2 gaming licence (HGC). This will enable the company to run a random number generator (RNG) and live casino games on its online platform. With a seven-year licence for €2 million ($2.2 million), Exoplay becomes Greece’s second casino-only operator.
The HGC reports that the Greek online casino market has expanded by 328% since 2019. This growth may be attributed to the relatively recent establishment of casinos in the country. Greece banned all electronic gambling in 2002, and land-based slot machines weren’t made legal until 2011. Only on September 11, 2020, did the HGC publicly invite operators to submit their first applications for online gambling licences. With the implementation of the regulations, Exoplay will be the nineteenth company to be granted an HGC licence.

Exoplay, an Astarti subsidiary, is anticipated to debut in the second quarter of 2024 under an as-yet-unnamed brand.
Before Christmas, the HGC issued Stakelogic Live a licence to use its live casino suite, indicating that they had a busy season.
